Immunization Essentials

This course provides the essential information, strategies, and skills to launch and maintain successful resident and staff vaccination efforts in PALTC. Designed for medical directors, attending physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician associates, this self-paced interactive course provides an overview of immunization recommendations, communication strategies, leadership roles, and billing information.

Learning Objectives

• Identify current immunization recommendations for PALTC residents and staff.
• Demonstrate effective communication strategies to promote vaccine uptake in PALTC facilities.
• Describe the role of PALTC medical directors and clinicians in making routine vaccination a standard of care for residents and an expectation for staff.
• Define the challenges of vaccines and vaccine administration billing, and have the knowledge and tools to navigate the process to optimize savings.
