Drive to Deprescribe: Navigating the Revised AGS Beers Criteria in Clinical Practice (October 2023)

Drive to Deprescribe: Navigating the Revised AGS Beers Criteria in Clinical Practice (October 2023)

Recorded On: 10/19/2023

The issue of polypharmacy and inappropriate medication use in post-acute and long-term care (PALTC) has been an ongoing concern. The PALTC setting has one of the highest polypharmacy rates, which increases the risk for adverse events and drug interactions.

Since May 2021, PALTmed and ASCP have been holding meetings and developing resources to help prescribers, pharmacists, DONs, CNOs, CMOs, and CEOs optimize medication use in the long-term care setting. This is the recording of this topic's session.
